Information about Treasure Island Florida, St. Petersburg Tampabay
What can I say, I live in Treasure Island Florida and as you can imagine, there are some good reasons for it.
Treasure Island is very accessible to pretty much everything. Central Ave takes you all the way downtown Saint Petersburg within 10 minutes. I have about 3 minutes to the Treasure Island beaches and 10 minutes to Fort De Soto. From Treasure Island I also have a 10 minute or less drive to the mall, big department stores, the office depot, the home depot, pretty much everything you need in live is only minutes away from Treasure Island.
Treasure Island is a unique little town here in Saint Petersburg Florida.
It is right between St. Pete beach to the south and Madeira beach to the north. The beaches of Treasure Island are nothing less than spectacular. Beautiful white fine sand, clear water and awesome sunsets. Friendly people and lots of restaurants and shops and places to go.
Treasure Island has a very good balance of single family homes, waterfront properties, town homes, condos, hotels and condo hotels. The sales prices for real estate range from $100,000 for a small one bedroom condo to a few million dollars for a waterfront mansion and of course, everything in-between. Other than the direct beach front properties that mostly sit on Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island has other waterfront subdivisions that sit right on the Intracoastal waterway or Boca Ciega Bay, such as Sunset beach, Paradise Island, Isle of Capri, and Isle of Palms. The coolest place on Treasure Island (in my opinion) is Caddy´s beachfront bar and restaurant. It is absolutely wonderful. A beach bar right on Sunset beach on the Gulf of Mexico, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner but mostly open for Fun and drinks. If you are in the area, you have to check it out.
Best place to have a nice gourmet dinner is without a doubt the "Perl" in downtown Treasure Island.
For lunch here in Treasure Island you might want to try the "Café Berlin" witch serves good German food or the VIP lounge that features Mexican food or go to "Grouper" for great fish. Foxy´s is a good place to have breakfast here in Treasure Island and Ricky T´s bar is a lot of fun for Happy hour, they have live music every day.
Treasure Island is also a great place for everybody that loves boating and fishing.
As far as shopping goes, we have a brand new Publix on Gulf Blvd and some beach stores; a Walgreen´s and liquor stores. And not to forget, we have our own little hardware store here in Treasure Island. A great hairdresser is "Roots" on 108 Ave right across the Police station and the City of Treasure Island building.
Treasure Island here in Florida has some very nice events like the sun and fun concerts right on the beach or the sand castle and kite contests.
