Tierra Verde is located just north of Fort De Soto (is among the top rated beaches in the US every year) the southern tip of Pinellas County. Tierra Verde is an Island and there is only one bridge in and out. People call it a very exclusive community and back in the days, if you wanted to be "HIP" you had to have a Tierra Verde address.

Tierra Verde is not a city (at least not yet, I have heard rumors. . . .) it is County, that means not incorporated.  Tierra Verde is a deed restricted community and there is a homeowners association it is NOT voluntary, once you own property in Tierra Verde, you have to join the club and pay your dues.

38% of all units are single family homes,
56% are condos and about another
6% is commercial,
5000 units altogether.

Talking about life style, just to give you an idea,  when you ask someone around here "where do YOU live, they usually say, Treasure Island, ST. Pete Beach, Madeira, Redington not the folks from Tierra Verde, they say I live on  "THE ISLAND" an of course you have to know that this is Tierra Verde and nothing but.
