Information about South Pasadena, Pasadena Tampabay
I am sorry to disappoint you, if you are looking for the town or city of Pasadena in Florida, you are out of luck. It does not exist.
There is no such thing as Pasadena in Florida, when we say Pasadena or refer to Pasadena we are actually trying to say South Pasadena in Tampabay. I know why call it Pasadena if it is South Pasadena, Guess it is human nature, South Pasadena just does not make any sense, there is no north Pasadena or anything else.
So, Pasadena and South Pasadena are the same city.
I did a search on Google and I was surprised that they actually have a map of Pasadena, How can you have a map of a city that does not exist? Anyway, South Pasadena is a neat little town here in Pinellas County Florida. It sits in the middle between, Saint Petersburg, Treasure Island, St. Pete beach and Gulfport. If you know the area, you can tell that this is a great location, wherever you are in (South) Pasadena you are just 5 minutes away from everything
We have a Sweet Bay and a Publix in the Pasadena shopping area for all your grocery needs, also there is a huge natural food store on Central Ave and a little Russian food store in the back of the British Pub on Pasadena Ave.
The best place to eat is probably the "O" Bistro on Central Ave and the corner of Pasadena Ave.
Gigi´s is a family owned Italian restaurant in the Pasadena Shopping centre and has great food too.
Do not forget to visit "Ted Peter´s" It is a local smoked fish restaurant and sits right on Pasadena Ave. This place is unique and you do not want to miss it. (be aware, they close early, like 7 pm or so)
Lot´s of people come to South Pasadena because of it´s Hospital, The Palms of Pasadena. It is the closest hospital to all the south beaches of Pinellas. South Pasadena also has a lot of really nice retirement communities and the real estate prices are low. The city of South Pasadena is very active and offers a lot of things to do, like free concerts, art shows, festivals and much more. This year they are doing a holiday lighting contest between all the businesses, that should be interesting and beautiful to see.
