There is so much to be said for open houses here in Saint Petersburg Tampabay


There are a lot of pros and cons and it really depends

on the property, the time of the year, the area etc. . . .

So first of all you have to figure out if it is worth all the work and money and time you spend on an open house.

Once you have made the decision to have and open house,

take your time to prepare.

You have to get it right the first time, otherwise you can loose potential buyers.

Create an open house flyer,

buy open house signs,

check with the city if and where you can place the signs,

have a sign in sheet,

put ads in the local papers,

have someone with you for security reasons,

"Unclutter" your home,

have scented candles or potpourri in the house,

have the front door OPEN,

practice your wonderful "Welcome smile"

make sure your neighbors do not have a wild party next door. . . .

There is much more to do and pay attention to,

just put yourself in the buyer´s shoes.
