Madeira Beach here in Florida is known as a little fishing town with a drinking problem.
Don´t get scared, this is from way back in the old days; Madeira beach nowadays is not much different than Treasure Island or Saint Pete Beach.
There is still a lot more fishing going on here in Madeira Beach than in any other beach town in our Tampabay area. Madeira beach has a few fish houses and still a lot of commercial fisherman going out of Madeira beach.
The biggest attraction that Madeira beach has is John´s Pass Village. When you are in the St. Petersburg area, plan to spend a day here in Madeira beach´s John´s Pass. You can walk around, do a lot of shopping, take a trip on one of the fishing or sight seeing boats, rent a jet ski or do some parasailing. Have a great lunch or dinner and watch the sunset over Johns Pass here in Madeira beach.

The Hut in Madeira beach is a great bar to have some Happy hour drinks; we also have a new Babba Gump shrimp restaurant overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

The real estate market here in Madeira beach, like everywhere else, has slowed down and prices have come down quit a bit. There are some great deals in waterfront condos right on the beach as well as the Intracoastal Waterway.
Madeira beach features more smaller buildings and smaller condo complexes and lots of single family homes.

Madeira beach is bordered by Treasure Island to the south and Redington beach to the north. Tom Stuart causeway is the "lifeline" to the mainland and it takes you everywhere you need to go. The biggest party of the year here in Madeira beach is the annual seafood festival. It is great, with lots of entertainment and food and drinks and and and. This is one event you do not want to miss.

In Madeira beach you can do your grocery shopping at Win Dixi on 153 Ave or you can go across the bridge to Pubix. The best food in Madeira beach is without a doubt at the Gulf Bistro on Gulf Blvd between 150 and 153Ave.
